Brief History
The Biochemistry department in Government Medical College, Badaun was established in 2019 as per MCI (now NMC) norms by the State government of Uttar Pradesh.
Activities:
VISION & MISSION :- To be a center of excellence in biochemistry education for medical students by providing high-quality, competency-based education, fostering scientific temper, critical thinking, and ethical values, and integrating excellence in diagnostic laboratory services with innovative teaching to develop competent, compassionate, and lifelong learners committed to delivering quality healthcare. To provide competency-based, evidence-driven education in biochemistry aligned with the National Medical Commission (NMC) curriculum, enabling medical students to develop a strong foundation in basic and clinical sciences. To deliver high-quality clinical biochemistry laboratory services through advanced diagnostic techniques and timely, accurate reporting to support patient care and informed clinical decision-making. To promote research and innovation in clinical biochemistry, molecular biomarkers, immunotoxicology, and phytoconstituents, advancing scientific knowledge and improving healthcare outcomes. To foster professionalism, ethical values, critical thinking, lifelong learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration among students, faculty, researchers, and healthcare professionals. To contribute to community health through preventive healthcare, health screening, public awareness, and disease prevention initiatives that promotes the health and well-being of society.
